Averiane mission

INTERNAL PRODUCT — 2026 USAGE DATA

LaneList: matching a specific transport need with the right carrier.

More than 3,800 visits and 400 returning users in 2026.

Internal digital productSupply Chain & Logistics

Context

An internal product designed and developed by Averiane’s founding team, initially released under Hestia Innovation.

Problem

Shippers and freight negotiators need to quickly identify carriers operating a precise combination of transport mode, country of origin and destination country, while the available information is scattered and of variable quality.

Intervention

Design and development of a multi-criteria search engine combining a carrier registry, operational filters, direct contact and AI suggestions clearly distinguished from database-sourced results.

Constraints

Heterogeneous transport data, progressive coverage of European lanes, a multilingual experience and the need to unambiguously distinguish referenced carriers from AI-generated suggestions.

Results

Since the beginning of 2026, LaneList has recorded more than 3,800 visits. The carrier filter was applied more than 1,100 times, and 891 carrier-result displays were recorded. Visits originated from more than 50 countries, and more than 400 users returned to the platform.

FOUNDER EXPERIENCE — ANONYMISED REAL-WORLD CASE

From contract to invoice: structuring international trading operations.

Faster invoice preparation and clearer visibility across quantities, delays and batch allocation.

International trading companyContract and logistics operations platformSupply Chain & Logistics

Context

An anonymised real-world engagement to which one of Averiane’s founders directly contributed. The work focused primarily on functional design, contractual and logistics rules, product-scope decisions and team guidance.

Problem

The company had managed its contracts, orders, shipments, batches and invoicing information in spreadsheets for several years. Teams had to manually reconcile commercial terms, committed quantities, orders, transport documents, shipments and invoices.

This made invoice preparation time-consuming and limited visibility into remaining quantities, delayed contracts and orders, available stock and batch allocation.

Intervention

The complete process was mapped from contract creation to closure. Functional rules were then designed for a business application connecting commercial, logistics and administrative operations.

The work covered:

  • Creating, updating, cancelling and closing contracts
  • Managing commercial terms, quantities and applicable Incoterms
  • Distinguishing direct sales from commission-based operations
  • Creating orders from existing contracts
  • Attaching and tracking the documents required for each order
  • Recording shipment, transport, truck and batch information
  • Selecting operations for direct-sale or commission invoicing
  • Progressively deducting committed quantities from the contract
  • Monitoring the remaining balance until the contract was fulfilled or closed
  • Continuously reviewing which capabilities should be added, changed or removed

The engagement also included helping the team understand the underlying business processes, prioritise changes and translate operational needs into coherent functional rules.

Operational workflow

  1. Contract
  2. Order
  3. Documents
  4. Shipment
  5. Batches
  6. Invoicing
  7. Balance or closure

Constraints

The product had to represent interconnected commercial and logistics rules, including partial orders, remaining quantities, direct and commission sales, document statuses, shipment information and batch allocation.

It also needed to remain simple enough to replace established spreadsheet-based practices without reproducing all of their accumulated complexity.

Results

The application connected contracts, orders, documents, shipments, batches and invoicing within a single operational workflow.

It reduced the time required to prepare invoices, improved control over stock and remaining quantities, made delayed contracts and orders easier to identify and provided clearer batch-allocation tracking.

Quantities assigned to orders were progressively deducted from the corresponding contract until the balance reached zero or the contract was closed.

Our contribution

Functional design, business-rule definition, product-scope advice, change prioritisation and team guidance.

  • Contracts

Commercial terms, quantities, Incoterms and remaining balances through closure.

  • Orders and shipments

Documents, transport information, trucks and operational statuses.

  • Batches and stock

Batch-allocation tracking and clearer visibility into available quantities.

  • Invoicing

Preparation of direct-sale or commission invoices from recorded operations.

Handover and collaboration

The team was guided in defining functional rules, prioritising changes and progressively adapting the tool to real operations.

Anonymised real-world case: the organisation, its customers, suppliers, prices, quantities, routes and invoicing data are not disclosed.

What makes this sector demanding

Little real-time visibility

01

Stock, orders, deliveries and returns live in different systems. Operations and customers do not see real status, creating calls and disputes.
